The Environment Protection and Development Authority signed a strategic partnership with the Emirates Environmental Group, in conjunction with Earth Day, to strengthen national efforts in environmental protection and sustainability

The Environment Protection and Development Authority in Ras Al Khaimah signed a strategic partnership with the Emirates Environmental Group in conjunction with the celebration of Earth Day, reflecting national efforts aimed at preserving natural resources and strengthening collaborative environmental action.The campaign included the planting of 1,000 mangrove trees, which are considered a cornerstone of coastal ecosystems and play a vital role in enhancing biodiversity, at Khor Al Muzahmi Nature Reserve in Ras Al Khaimah.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Eng. Moza Al Mehairi, representing the Environment Protection and Development Authority, and Dr. Habiba Al Mar’ashi, representing the Emirates Environmental Group. Both emphasized the importance of the partnership in supporting environmental initiatives, strengthening joint environmental efforts, and promoting sustainability.
The partnership was signed as part of an environmental event that featured a mangrove planting campaign with the participation of approximately 220 volunteers, demonstrating a strong spirit of community responsibility and cooperation towards a sustainable environment.
