Plant a tree to commemorate

The Environmental Protection and Development Authority in Ras Al Khaimah has launched a campaign under a name of “plant a tree to commemorate” within the activities of Feminine Mentoring for a Sustainable Environment Initiative to grow local trees in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah such as Sidr, Samar, Ghaf and Shraish. This campaign comes also under the initiative of one million and one trees, in honor of giving and sacrifice, and in fulfillment of our heroic martyrs. 1500 trees were distributed to schools, in addition to afforestation of Ras Al Khaimah fishermen’s port and distribution of a number of seedlings in Ras Al Khaimah Fish Market. 90 volunteers from different areas of Ras Al Khaimah participated in the campaign, including seven schools. The number of volunteering hours during the initiative reached 200 hours.
