EPDA wins Julphar Finance Award
Environment protection and development authority of Ras Al Khaimah won the first place in the Julphar Finance Award for Excellence as the best government agency committed to the implementation of accounting policies and procedures in 2017.This award is the first of its kind in Ras Al Khaimah, with participation of 16 local government entities. The award also included categories of the best party in the percentage of commitment to the budget and the best government agency committed to the application of tax measures “VAT” and the best performance of the supplier to meet government needs. Dr. Saif Mohammed Al Ghais, Director General of EPDA, stated that within the framework of the Authority’s commitment to accounting policies and procedures, the Authority has achieved the first place at the level of all government entities in the Ras Al Khaimah in adhering to the monthly closure of revenues on time by 100%. EPDA also achieved second place in commitment to the time limit in posting transactions by 88.9%, as well as achieving 99.4% in the ratio of the holdbacks in the cash accounts. EPDA also achieved 94.9% in the completion rate. Overall, the compliance rate of EPDA accounting policies and procedures in general reached 87.3%, so, that what made EPDA in the first place for this category.
