EPDA Moves to Cloud Computing

The Environment Protection and Development Authority in Ras Al Khaimah has launched its transition to the cloud computing system as the first local authority in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

This step confirms the authority's readiness for the digital transformation process to enhance and develop its digital services and operations, achieve integration and integration with future technologies, and keep pace with the national strategy of the UAE digital government 2025.

This step also represents a crossing point towards the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the era of data and highly advanced technologies supported by artificial intelligence.

His Excellency Dr. Saif Muhammad Al Ghais, Director General of the Authority said, "The transition of the Authority as the first government entity in the emirate to a cloud computing system reflects the support of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and the diligent follow-up by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince The era of Ras Al Khaimah, Chairman of the Executive Council, where the transition to cloud computing will help in the presence of advanced, efficient, flexible and high-capacity services, and will accelerate the transformation of all government agencies to a complete digital transformation.”

Al-Ghais added, "This step is in line with the UAE's directions to achieve the highest quality of government services, achieve happiness for customers, simplify and speed up services, maintain databases, enhance information security and flexibility, reduce costs and speed up work, noting that cloud services technology allows saving files, data and various information through linked servers. The Internet and access to it in a safe and reliable manner, as linking and securing integration between all government agencies will provide continuous communication in an effective and secure manner between them and will enhance the integration of services.”
