Environment Innovative Contest Remotely by EPDA

“Environment Innovative Contest Remotely” is a competition launched by the Environmental Protection and Development Authority – Ras Al Khaimah in order to keep up with the current situation that changed the education system in the UAE. The competition will occur remotely and will let the students innovate using the available recyclable items live in a period of two hours. The students will create models from the recyclables and will have enough time to explain the idea to the jury.

The Director General of EPDA - Dr. Saif Al-Ghais, said that the competition aims to enhance family cooperation, motivate the creativity among the students, and consolidate the honest competition as it can be practiced during the current situation.

He added, “Such activities spread the environmental awareness among the society, which can make the free time beneficial to the students by giving them the opportunity to display their talents, experiences and creativity during this unique experience. We invite parents to encourage their children to participate in the educational competitions as they combine the learning, enjoyment and benefit”.

The participation is open to all age groups and the participant have to design the model in front of the committee by hosting the participant through the Microsoft Teams and recording their work using recycled materials. The participants shall answer the committee's questions.

In addition, the design shall meet the main topic, which is recycling, and the work shall be creative, innovative and the ability to use the work. The jury will be evaluate the works and post them on the Instagram account of EPDA, and the highest votes will win the competition and honored with cash prize

The competition will be launched in the period of two hours starting from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm on Friday 17/04/2020 on Microsoft Teams
