In its endeavor to sustain the protection of natural resources in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, EPDA continues its campaign to remove Damas trees in cooperation with the concerned authorities and community sectors, said HE Dr. Saif Mohammed Al Ghais, Director General of EPDA.Dr. Al-Ghais explained that the aim of removing Damas trees and replace them with local trees is to reduce the environmental damage related to this tree as it puts pressure on groundwater resources because of its high water needs compared to other local species.
