Ras Al Khaimah Environmental Protection and Development Authority has been awarded the ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system certification and accredited by the UKAS accreditation body for all its operations and services to customers. At the level of all its organizational units, namely the environmental control, community relations, studies and policies, support services and the human resources, administrative services, financial resources and information technology, in addition to the technical and administrative office and the office of institutional excellence.
Achievement
Dr. Saif Mohammed Al Ghais, Executive Director of the Authority said that the ISO 9001 certification is an achievement in addition to the series of achievements of the Authority in the field of development and organizational excellence and the adoption of international best practices and commitment to the implementation of international quality management systems.
This is achieved through achieving the highest possible happiness for the customers of the service package provided by the Authority, which reached 35 types of services, and through achieving the highest possible happiness for the employees of the Authority, which already leads the government departments and agencies in the index of functional happiness in Ras Al Khaimah during 2017.
In addition to the above, the Authority will achieve many benefits from obtaining this standard such as: improving the overall institutional performance and the ability to continuously meet the requirements of customers and the legal and regulatory requirements that apply to the services provided by the Authority, and improve the ability to deal with risks and exploit opportunities in the environment The Authority's external activities, which are linked to the nature of its work and its strategic objectives.
Sustainability
The application of the ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system extends to the environmental protection process and the sustainability of its resources for all segments of Ras Al Khaimah society by striking a delicate balance between social and economic development and environmental protection.
