Dr. Saif Muhammad Al-Ghais, Director of the Environmental Protection Authority in Ras Al-Khaimah, explained that the decision to ban the hunting of the three species is part of the state’s efforts to preserve these species and increase fish stocks in all fishing areas, pointing out that the authority has started monitoring fishing ports, fish markets and commercial stores to compel them all to the decision .

It provides food, along with bans in the breeding season.

He continued: There are some countries that have applied what are known as numbering and release systems for a number of fish species, and have been observed and measured quantities in sea water and are one of the modern methods for measuring the extent of improvement in some species, and this idea is based on planting small slices in these fish before launching into the sea, be These slides are numbers for fish, which are then monitored during fishing, as observers can discover these fish and their percentage when the readers of these slides are passed on to fishing boxes.

He stressed that the authority tightened with the entry into force of the decision on the process of controlling ports and markets, noting that a violation of fishing decisions amounted to 5 thousand dirhams fine and in the event of a repeat of the fisherman's license is canceled according to Cabinet decisions issued in this regard, praising the commitment of fishermen during the past years in the Emirate Ras Al-Khaimah with all fishing ban decisions.
